Questions about mi/match.c in the compiler

Hi,

I am having a look at the match compiler.
I found that the functions for the decision tree construction, like
`addpat` and its friends, all have the parameters `end` and `*nend`. But I
can not find the uses of them. Do they exist for debugging? Is it ok to
remove them?
